The children in Junior Infants - 2nd Class were lucky enough to be invited to the poly tunnel by the Lavey Growers and Sowers in June to plant pumpkin seeds. We went back to see what had grown in October and even got to bring our own pumpkins home! A very special thanks to Catherine, Gerry and Kitty for all their time and hard work, we really appreciate it!

We were so lucky to be invited to the poly tunnel to plant pumpkin seeds thanks to the help of the Lavey Growers, especially Gerry and Catherine. We also got to sample some tasty strawberries and look at all the other fruit and vegetables that are growing. We can't wait to see how our pumpkins progress over the next few months!
The Butterfly Lifecycle
In May we got four little caterpillars and watched them grow. We called them Butter, Crystal, Snowflake and Tiny Tim. After a few weeks they made their chrysalis before finally emerging as beautiful butterflies in June. When we released them they hung out with us for a while to say thanks for all our help!
Happy Easter!
We made nests out of clay for our chicks before the Easter holidays.
